This Sunday begins Pre-Lent. As we prepare for Lent:
• We “bury the ‘Alleluia.'” The word is not used in the music or liturgy.
• We do not sing “The Gloria.”
• We replace the “Te Deum” with the “Benedictus Es, Domine” in Morning Prayer
• Starting this year, we will use the Decalogue (10 Commandments) all three Sundays until Lent.
